Cakes are important. They are probably the most important part of birthday parties besides friends, family and buying wrinkle cream to cure your early signs of aging. Because cake is such a vital part of birthday celebrations, I wanted to get a super wonderful cake for my 21st birthday bash. I love icebox cakes and eating excessive amounts of sweets in one sitting, so I decided the best way to do this was to set up an icebox cake tasting at Magnolia Bakery.
Icebox cakes are no bake desserts usually made with wafers and whipped cream. They melt in your mouth and taste like puffy clouds of wonder. Apparently they are super easy to make, but why make one when you have Magnolia Bakery killing it on the scene a few blocks away? You just don’t.
So I went on my Magnolia Bakery icebox cake mission and this is how it went.
